AN ENSIGN ON AN HILL
"...till
ye be left as a beacon upon the top of a mountain, and as AN ENSIGN ON AN
HILL." (Isaiah 30:17 KJV)
This
verse describes the bride of Christ in the coming Kingdom Age. Normally, an ensign
is an emblem or banner, lifted up on a pole, signifying national or tribal
identity. God's glorified saints, reigning from mount Zion, will be His emblem,
His raised banner, declaring His dominion throughout the earth.
Meditation

in that day there shall be a root of Jesse, which shall stand for an ensign of
the people; to it shall the Gentiles seek: and his rest shall be glorious.
And

second time to recover the remnant of his people, which shall be left, from
Assyria, and from Egypt, and from Pathros, and from Cush, and from Elam, and
from Shinar, and from Hamath, and from the islands of the sea.
And

outcasts of Israel, and gather together the dispersed of Judah from the four
corners of the earth.”
