The Lowly
“Though the Lord is on high, yet he regards THE LOWLY;
but the proud He knows from afar.” (Psalm 138:6 NKJ)
To be among the lowly, a person must be free from
pride, self-will and self-centered conceit.
God is attracted to such choice individuals and promises to regard them
in a special way. This simply means
that He will be especially attentive to their needs and bless them with his
best.
Meditation verses:
“Surely He scorns the scornful, but gives grace to the
humble.”
Proverbs 3:34 (NKJ)
“When pride comes, then comes shame; but with the humble
is wisdom.”
Proverbs 11:2 (NKJ)
"Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am
gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.”
Matthew 11:29 (NKJ)
“Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit,
but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself.”
Philippians 2:3 (NKJ)
